Alpinestars Fire-Retardant Underwear & Balaclavas
Fire-resistant underwear provides a dramatic increase in protection when worn with a driver's suit. Flame retardant long underwear and socks are required by many race sanctioning bodies. Fire-resistant hoods (head socks or balaclavas) are usually required to cover long hair or facial hair.
These flame-retardant undergarments from Alpinestars are made of a special blend of fire-retardant synthetic aramid fibers and Lenzing FR®, a permanently flame-resistant natural fiber that insulates against extreme heat while allowing your skin to breathe. This is not the rough "waffle weave" fabric!
