Fire-resistant undergarments provide a dramatic increase in protection when worn with a driver's suit. Flame retardant underwear and socks are required by many race sanctioning bodies.

The Race v3 long underwear top from Alpinestars is made of a very comfortable single layer soft knit blend of fire-retardant synthetic fibers and Lenzing&tm; FR®, a permanently flame-resistant natural fiber that insulates against extreme heat while allowing your skin to breathe. This is not the old rough "waffle weave" fabric! This is the same fabric used in Alpinestars underwear supplied to F1 teams.

This long-sleeve top features an mock turtleneck collar for protection. Choose Black or White, each with a contrasting "A-star" logo on the collar. Tagged with FIA 8856-2018 homologation and SFI 3.3 approval.

Note: The 2024 Edition of the Race v3 top is cut to be a much closer and more athletic fit than the previous v3 generation. The addition of elastane fiber in the 2024 weave makes the fabric much more elastic so it can fit like a second skin. If you are between sizes, we recommend trying the larger size.
