Oil Filter Spin-On Adapters
These oil filter spin-on adapters mount in place of the original oil filter and are used to connect a remote oil filter and/or oil cooler. All of these spin-on adapters have 1/2NPT ports.
An oil thermostat is recommended to reduce the high pressures resulting from cold, viscous oil being forced through the cooler. The filter should be mounted ahead of the cooler and thermostat so that its pressure drop does not add to the pressure in the cooler. Even with a thermostat, the engine should be kept at low RPM until normal oil temperature is reached.
