Setrab Oil Filter Sandwich Plates
A pressure-relieving bypass valve in your sandwich plate helps to avoid pressure spikes from cold oil, but a thermostatic valve provides more accurate control. These special sandwich plates from Setrab feature a built-in thermostat that allows cold oil to bypass your oil cooler. When the oil temperature reaches 180°F / 82°C (+/- 10°F or +/- 3°C), the thermostat closes to force all of the oil to go through the cooler.
Setrab sandwich plates all have M22 female ports to accept any Setrab M22 O-Ring Port Adapter Fittings (sold separately).
Can't use a sandwich plate because you can't get the oil lines to clear an obstacle? Add one of the Spacers (SPS76 series) under the sandwich plate to move the lines 1.25" farther away from the engine block!
