If your fuel cell was originally equipped with an aircraft-type fill cap, this kit lets you convert it to an easy-to-use screw-on cap. This is a great upgrade for molded plastic drag racing cells sold elsewhere.
This aluminum filler cap assembly is designed to bolt on to any fuel cell with a 6 x 4 7/16" bolt pattern (Fuel Safe cells do not use this size). Both the cap and the bung are CNC machined from billet aluminum. The low-profile (3/4" high x 5 1/4" OD) bung is clear anodized with a silver finish, and the cap is anodized with a dark blue finish. The 3.2" diameter cap features eight large finger-grip notches for easy handling, even with gloves on (2 3/4" is the diameter at the inside of the notches). The 2 1/4 - 10 coarse threads unscrew quickly with little chance of cross-threading (cap has male threads; bung has female threads). An O-ring seal prevents leaks while helping to keep the cap tight. Total assembled height approximately 1 1/16". Includes mounting hardware.
Note: Does not fit any Fuel Safe fuel cells that we carry. Fuel Safe fillers normally have a larger 12 x 4 3/4" bolt circle. Not designed for use as a remote filler.
