This compact thermal circuit breaker is a great way to protect your racecar from short circuits. The push button design makes it easy to reset after the fault is repaired, so you don't have to carry spare fuses.
The single-pole breaker has two standard 1/4" male spade terminals on the back for quick connection. Mounts in a panel like a toggle switch. Simply drill a 7/16" hole in the panel and insert the breaker from the rear. An optional "Press to Reset" label collar measures 0.9" OD, but the label can be omitted if closer spacing is required.
The "slow-blow" operation requires several seconds of overload before disconnecting the circuit (higher overloads will trip more quickly than minor overloads). This helps to minimize false breaks from amperage spikes when starting up electric motors. Maximum operating temperature 65° C (150° F). Exceeding this temperature will derate the amperage by 50% or more.
Measures 1 3/8" high x 9/16" thick x 2.3" deep including reset button (projects 1 7/8" behind panel). Reset button measures 0.3" OD and has the amperage (15) marked in clear black numbers. Sold individually.
