This optional cable can be used to connect your AiM EVO4 data logger to an ECU via the OBD-II port for a "plug-and-play" installation! It has a 5-pin "712" (metal screw-in) connector at one end to connect to the "ECU" port on the EVO4. The other end has an OBD-II diagnostic port connector to plug into your vehicle. This cable communicates via CAN protocol (ISO 15765/4 or SAE J2234) using pins 6 (CAN + ) and 14 (CAN - ) on the OBD-II plug.
Note 1: This cable will not communicate via "K Line" (pins 7 and 15). Certain ECUs may not work with the CAN connection and will require a different cable. We offer the K-Line version of this cable under part number MC-279.
Note 2: For EVO4 only. The wiring of this cable does not match the CAN ("Exp") port wiring on other AiM devices.
