Center punches are designed to make an indentation when drilling a hole. A sharp point at the end of the shank dimples the work piece to guide the drill bit and prevent wandering.

The 32 series center punches from Beta Tools have straight-sided shanks so they can double as transfer punches. The hex-shaped handle portion is easy to grip and resists rolling away when you put it down.

This steel punch has a 3mm diameter straight shank measuring 44mm long. 100mm overall length, 8mm hex grip.
