This special oversized tap from Beta Tools is designed for rescuing automotive oil pans with damaged M16 drain plug threads. The M17 tap removes the stripped 16x1.5mm threads and cuts new M17x1.5 threads in a single operation. Finish by replacing the M16 plug with the oversized Beta Tools 1495T/M17 Oversized Drain Plug and Washer Kit (Part No. BT-014950517, set of 6 plugs and 6 washers sold separately). Sold individually.
