For quick, precise measurements, it's hard to beat digital calipers. Instead of an analog dial, digital calipers show the complete measurement, with no interpretation required. Even a first-time user can get accurate results.
These vernier-style calipers from Beta Tools feature a large 1/2" LCD readout on a hardened stainless steel body. Dual jaws measure outside, inside, or depth. The display can be switched from metric (0-200 mm x .01) to SAE (0-8 inches x .0005) at the push of a button. Markings on the body also indicate inches in tenths of an inch, and millimeters. The jaws can be locked in place for use as a "go-no go" gauge. The display can be reset to zero at any reading for easy comparison of multiple items with no math needed.
