This multi-jointed stand from Beta Tools is designed to hold your dial indicator above a ferrous metal (steel or iron) work surface.
The assembly consists of a magnetic base, an adjustable vertical rod, and an adjustable second rod with a jointed end clamp. The base has an on-off lever to release the magnet easily, and a V-groove in the base lets you use it on round tubing or a flat surface. The two rods are held together with a joint that lets you adjust the angle between them. Ball joints at the base and end clamp allow a wide range of adjustability without loosening everything and losing your entire setup. The end clamp holds any dial indicator with an 8mm OD snout (including the Beta Tools 1662 Series). Sold individually, dial indicator not included.
