This square-section file from Beta Tools is designed to remove material quickly, with minimal clogging. The double-cut style has diagonal ridges cut in two directions, leaving diamond-shaped teeth. The "bastard cut" or "rough cut" has coarser teeth than the "second cut" (and much coarser teeth than a "smooth" file). All four faces have the same coarse teeth. Measures 8" long not including the handle tang. Sold individually.

1718 = File with no handle (1719BM series includes handles)
D = Bastard Cut (A = Second Cut)
8 = 8 Inch nominal length
/Q = Square file (/P = Flat, /T = Triangular, /M = Half-round, /R = Round)
