This oil pan gasket kit fits the Ford 1600 Kent pushrod engine and can be used with steel or aluminum oil pans. Includes one cork left pan rail, one cork right pan rail, a rubber front end seal, and a rubber rear end seal (enough for one oil pan).
The rubber end seals require a male bead in the oil pan ends to hold the seals in place. The original steel pan from Ford has this bead, but many aluminum dry sump pans do not. If your pan is smooth where it would contact the end seals, we recommend our 1.6L Oil Pan Gasket with Cork Ends (Part No. 164-07). The cork end seals stay in place better with a smooth pan.
Note: Fits Ford 711M "Uprated" and Cosworth BDA engines. Older "Cortina" engines (2737M, 691M), Lotus Twin Cam, and all non-crossflow engines were designed to use cork seals. Does not fit 771M Fiesta engine (unless 711M-type "Uprated" front and rear covers are used).
