Wilwood brings their decades of expertise in designing and building lightweight aluminum racing calipers to SCCA formula car classes!
The forged aluminum 2-piston caliper is made to be a direct bolt-on replacement for the discontinued cast iron AP/Lockheed LD20 caliper. No machining or adapting is required. It retains the same 3/8-24 inlet thread and 1.75" diameter pistons as the original, too -- just take off your old caliper and install the WLD20 in its place! It takes the same LD20 pad as the original, so your spare pads won't go to waste. Symmetrical design can be used on the left side or right side of the car. SCCA legal for Formula Continental and Formula F per FCS 9.1.1.B.8.a, and Sports 2000 per SRCS 9.1.9.B.7.b. Sold individually. Pads sold separately.
What's the same as the original:
Mounting (bolt hole size, location, spacing, height, offset)
Plumbing (inlet port thread, port design, port location)
Hydraulics (piston size, piston number, pad shape)
What's different:
Body material (hard anodized aluminum with stainless abutment plates vs. cast iron)
Weight (2.3 lb vs. 6.8 lb)
Symmetrical design (use the same caliper left or right side, leading or trailing)
Piston material (stainless steel vs. plated steel)
Piston seals (easily available and inexpensive Wilwood seals)
Bleed screws (1/4-28 inside a special 1/8 NPT insert)
