The AiM MXP Strada dash represents a huge leap forward in dash display flexibility. The brilliant 800x480 pixel (6" diagonal) TFT display frees you from the constraints of a single, factory-designed LCD display. The MXP Strada shows you the data you want, the way you want.
The MXP Strada (Italian for "street") is designed to be connected to any of over 1000 different ECUs. Any data gathered by the ECU can be displayed, without connecting additional sensors. Eight additional analog input channels* can display a wide range of temperatures, pressures, or potentiometers (throttle position, steering position, etc). A CAN input allows you to further expand the dash by adding an almost limitless number of AiM CAN Data Hubs (Part No. MC-329, sold separately). These hubs let you connect other inputs such as GPS, Lambda (O2), SmartyCam, or even channel expansion hubs, without using any analog channels! An additional screw-in port on the back lets you connect two analog cameras (not included) to turn the dash into a backup or rear-view-mirror display. (Note that this input is not compatible with the SmartyCam, and cameras connected to this port do not receive a data feed.)
The compact 7.5" x 4.2" anodized aluminum housing features a wide, full-color screen. The auto-dimming display can be set by the user to a number of different screen designs. You can even create up to 8 different pages, all using different screen designs. Ten configurable shift light LEDs across the top of the housing and 5 configurable alarm LEDs along the right side can all be programmed with any of 7 colors. Each alarm can be programmed with a steady or flashing LED, a custom text message on the screen, and multiple conditions (for example, oil pressure below 60 psi and engine speed above 4000 RPM... or over-rev by 200 RPM keeps the light on steady until power-off, while over-rev by 500 RPM makes the same light flash until data is downloaded... ). A digital output* (1 amp @ 12v) can be used to trigger an external warning light, fan relay, etc based on similar logic as the alarms. The shift lights can be programmed separately for each gear, if desired. Set them to come on sooner in low gears and closer to redline in high gears, set different colors for each gear, and more! The flexible display can also be set up to display ISO icon warning lights across the bottom (low oil pressure, high coolant temp, brake, etc). Requires 9 - 15V external power supply.
The MXP Strada is a display only. It cannot log any data, and it is not desgined to connect to a logger.
Kit includes MXP Strada dash display, USB cable, and primary wiring harness with 14 pin Amp connector. The harness is designed for 2-wire connection to your ECU using either CAN or RS232 protocol. Race Studio 3 setup software is always available as a free download from AiM.
* Note: Analog input channels, wheel speed input, and digital output require the addition of the AiM MXP Strada Auxiliary Wiring Harness with 23-Pin Amp Connector (Part No. MC-368, sold separately). If you only need one or two of those functions, you might want to consider building your own aux harness using the 23-Pin AMP Connector Kit Only (Part No. MC-366).
