The Tilton OT-II Dual Disc Rally Clutch is a very high-quality open style 7 1/4" diameter clutch. The aluminum cover is much lighter and stiffer than the stamped steel cover used on the AP racing clutch. The rally style is designed to allow more modulation than in the standard OT-II racing clutch. This assembly includes the cover, pressure plate, and floater plate. Cerametallic clutch discs and bolts are sold separately. Requires specially modified flywheel with a 0.10" step down from the friction surface.
The extra-light White spring / High Ratio pressure plate combination provides moderate clamping force without excessive pedal force. With a standard 44mm release bearing, this clutch requires only 400 pounds of hydraulic pressure to release, but it is still rated for cars producing up to 400 lb-ft of torque.
Racing clutches require higher pedal force to actuate than stock street clutches. Cable operated release mechanisms may not work. This clutch is appropriate for use with an external slave cylinder or with a Tilton Hydraulic Release Bearing with a 44mm contact diameter bearing.
