This low-profile, solid-state switching unit can take the place of an entire array of switches, circuit breakers, and relays! The all-in-one flat panel houses 8 flush pushbutton switches with 2-level backlighting. All of the electronics are housed behind the panel, so there is no external module to hide. This 8-channel panel can handle the switching demands of just about any club/sprint racing car.
Six of the channels can be set to handle 5, 10, or 15 amps. You can even pair two channels to handle 20, 25, or 30 amp loads. Two channels are pre-set to 7.5 amps specifically for windshield wiper functions (the wiper channel even has a "wiper park" signal). Each channel can function as Latching (with or without power-off memory), Latching with timer (30 seconds, 5 minutes, or 10 minutes), Momentary, Flashing, or Toggling. Several functions are even optimized for easy integration with the Cartek XR Battery Isolator or the Cartek Wireless Steering Wheel Controls.
A single M6 input stud on the back accepts battery positive voltage from 6 to 12 volts. A 24-pin AMP connector (mate sold separately) handles power outputs and signal inputs from other sources. A red LED above each of the backlit switches indicates status on each channel (on, off, or fault) for easy troubleshooting. All configuration is done directly on the panel -- no computer required! Includes two sets of switch labels (one multicolor and one black and white) designed to let the backlight shine through.
The bezel of the switch panel measures just 145mm tall x 140mm wide (5.7" x 5.5"). The electronics portion (built in on the back of the panel) is a 108mm x 85mm x 30mm thick box (4.25" x 3.35" x 1.18" thick) not including the connectors on the back. The assembly weighs just 450g (16 oz).
