The NEW Techni-Ice core material is shipped in dehydrated form. This reduces the shipping weight, while also making it possible to send through the mail via USPS. Before the first use, the core must be immersed in water to reydrate. You only need to do this once. The Techni-Ice locks the moisture in, so you can enjoy cooling without getting soaked.
