Brand: Facet-Purolator
This special 74 micron filter was designed by Facet specifically for use on the inlet side of the Facet Cube-Style number 40345 (Caterpillar 416-5886) fuel pump* (sold separately). The transparent housing lets you monitor the condition of the non-replaceable polyester filter element inside.
The inlet end of the housing has a push-on fitting for 5/16" (8mm) ID rubber fuel hose. The outlet end has a special male 1/2-20 fitting* recessed deep inside. The recess (1" ID x 1" deep) wraps the filter element around the inlet spigot on the 40345 pump for a compact installation. Note that this threaded fitting is not designed to be used with any other type of setup. Housing measures 2.1" OD x 2.1" long not including the hose barb.
Compatible with gasoline, ethanol blends to E85, and diesel fuel (including biodiesel), and fuel additives. This filter is not designed to be disassembled. This filter is also sold under Caterpillar number 416-5884.
* Note that most Facet Cube-Style fuel pumps have a much smaller 1/8 NPT inlet port and will not accept this filter. Please be sure to check your pump!
