Legendary AiM data power (and electrical control) is now fully contained in a compact racing steering wheel! The SW4 is one of the most powerful AiM data loggers ever, with no separate base unit required.
This 270mm wide version is specifically designed for formula cars and single-seat sports racers. The full-color 4.3" (diagonal) TFT screen can display any data gathered and logged via CAN connections to your ECU and AiM expansions (add the Channel Expansion module to use external sensors). In addition, 10 pushbutton switches and 3 rotary switches let you control a host of logger and vehicle functions. Four alarm LEDs are complemented by a row of 8 LEDs across the top, which can be set up as shift lights or for predictive lap timing*. All of this is on top of the logger with 4GB of internal memory.
This kit includes the 270mm Wide x 183.5mm High x 42.6mm Thick wheel, a set of labels for the pushbutton switches, a set of paddle shifters, and the mating "car side" harness. The back of the wheel has three M5 threaded studs on a 3x50.8mm bolt circle to suit "European" quick-release hubs (available separately). All CAN expansions and sensors are sold separately.
* Predictive lap timing requires the addition of a GPS09 Module (sold separately).
The SW4 wheel has a single pigtail lead with a male 22-pin Deutsch connector on the end. This kit comes complete with the mating "car side" wiring harness. One end of the harness has a female 22-pin bulkhead-mount Deutsch connector, and the other end has connectors for Expansion (5-pin "712" female plug) and USB (bulkhead mount), plus unterminated wires for RPM, ECU (CAN+ and CAN-), CAN2, function buttons 1 and 2, +12V in, and Ground.
