This U-shaped rod is part of the accelerator pump mechanism on Weber DCOE and DCO carburetors. When the throttle is closed, the linkage pushes the pump rod and piston up. Opening the throttle releases the rod, pushing the piston downwards to shoot fuel through the pump jets.
This "015" rod is the shortest listed, with a 10mm stroke and 59.5mm overall length. It is the version fitted to current production carbs as standard.
A shorter rod decreases the piston stroke, decreasing the length of time that the accelerator pump discharges. This provides enrichment for a shorter period of acceleration. In some rare cases, this can cause faltering or hesitation at the end of a pull.
Sold individually; one required per carburetor. Does not include spring or piston.
