The AiM MXP 1.3 data logging dash represents a huge leap forward in racing display flexibility. The brilliant 800x480 pixel (6" diagonal) TFT display frees you from the constraints of a single, factory-designed LCD display. The MXP 1.3 shows you the data you want, the way you want.
Eight analog input channels can sample, log, and display temperatures, pressures, or potentiometers (throttle position, steering position, etc) up to 1000 times per second. A CAN input allows you to further expand the dash by adding an almost limitless number of AiM CAN Data Hubs (Part No. MC-329, sold separately). These hubs let you connect other inputs such as Lambda (O2), SmartyCam, or even channel expansion hubs, without using any analog channels! The MXP 1.3 can also be connected to many different ECUs to log any data gathered by the ECU. An internal gyroscope, GPS module, 4 wheel speed channels, a lap time receiver input, and 2 digital outputs round out the package. It all adds up to a flexible, expandable data logger that can grow with you. An additional screw-in port on the back lets you connect two analog cameras (not included) to turn the dash into a backup or rear-view-mirror display. (Note that this input is not compatible with the SmartyCam, and cameras connected to this port do not receive a data feed.)
The compact 7.5" x 4.2" anodized aluminum housing is designed to fit formula cars and sports racers. The wide, auto-dimming display can be set by the user to a number of different full-color screen designs. You can even create up to 8 different pages, all using different screen designs. Ten configurable shift light LEDs across the top of the housing and 5 configurable alarm LEDs along the right side can all be programmed with any of 7 colors. Each alarm can be programmed with a steady or flashing LED, a custom text message on the screen, and multiple conditions (for example, oil pressure below 60 psi and engine speed above 4000 RPM... or over-rev by 200 RPM keeps the light on steady until power-off, while over-rev by 500 RPM makes the same light flash until data is downloaded... ). Two digital outputs (1 amp @ 12v) can be used to trigger external warning lights, fan relays, etc based on similar logic as the alarms. The shift lights can be programmed separately for each gear, if desired. Set them to come on sooner in low gears and closer to redline in high gears, set different colors for each gear, and more!
The 4GB non-volatile memory can store many hours of information for detailed analysis using AiM's latest Race Studio 3 software. All of the data can be downloaded to your computer using a built-in secure Wi-Fi connection (no cable required). Requires 9 - 15V external power supply.
This complete kit includes MXP 1.3 data logging display, wiring harness with 37 pin Deutsch connector, and roof-mount GPS09 module with 2 meter (6 ft 6 in) cable. All sensors sold separately. Race Studio 3 software is always available as a free download from AiM.
Note: Analog channels 5-8, Speed inputs 2-4, digital outputs, and RS232 ECU connection require the addition of the AiM MXS/MXG/MXP Auxiliary Wiring Harness with 22-Pin Deutsch Connector, Part No. MC-249 (sold separately).
