Brand: Tillett Racing Seats
Most side-mount auto racing seats have vertical sides, but the sides of Tillett auto racing seats are angled outwards 2 degrees. Using standard 90-degree side mounts from other manufacturers can overstress the shell of a Tillett seat!
These special seat mounting brackets from Tillett have the correct 88 degree bend instead of a 90-degree right angle in order to fit the shells of Tillett racing seats. The flat bottom faces inwards (under the seat), which compromises access to the mounting bolts but does not add to the width of the seat. Five rear mounting holes and four slotted front mounting holes allow a variety of height and angle options*. Five sets of laterally-slotted mounting holes in the base let you select fore-and-aft position in cars without sliders. These brackets are designed to be mounted to a flat floor or to seat sliders (not included). They can even be bolted directly to the OEM sliders in 1st and 2nd generation Mazda Miata (NA and NB chassis).
The black powder coated brackets are made from 5mm thick aluminum for strength with light weight (just 1.11kg / 2.3 lb per pair). Made in the UK. Sold in pairs (one is enough for one seat).
* Because of the contour of Tillett seat shells, using the lower mounting holes and slots may require the addition of the Tillet Pegged Spacer Kit, Part No. TIL-TK8 (sold separately).
