The wrap consists of a high-temperature woven silica/fiberglass fabric coated with a thick layer of silicone to protect against heat up to 260°C (500°F). This heavy-duty sleeve is similar in construction to traditional Firesleeve, except with a slightly thinner woven fabric instead of the thick braided fabric. This special wrap also features hook-and-loop material sewn along the length on each edge so it can be wrapped around the hose without disconnecting anything. Great for protecting welding hoses, battery cable, wiring harnesses, shifter cables, and much more.
This 25mm ID size is the second-largest available. It can be used on items up to 25mm (1") OD, including braided AN hoses up to -12 size, most brands of rubber fuel/oil hoses up to 5/8" ID, and our 16mm (5/8") ID silicone hoses.
The non-conductive silicone covering resists all automotive chemicals, from oil to gasoline to brake fluid. It will not melt, delaminate, or become brittle from -40°C to over 260°C (-40°F to 500°F). Melting point 482°C (900°F). Not for use in direct contact with exhaust. Black silicone over white-grey weave only. Sold by the running meter.
