Throttle Cable End Fittings
These throttle end fittings have female 10-32 threads (except for Part No. 1279 and 1033 which have female 1/4-28 threads) to accept male studs that are commonly used on the ends of throttle cables. These fittings are specially made to be slightly loose so that they pivot freely. A tight joint at the end of a throttle cable can cause binding and rapid failure of the throttle cable.
The above photo shows the approximate location for the end of the throttle cable stud in relation to the pivot point for the attachment. Be sure to take these end fitting allowances into account when determining the length for your throttle cable.
