O-Ring Boss Adapters and Fittings

O-Ring Bosses (ORB) use the same SAE threads as AN fittings, but ORBs do not have the 37° sealing flare that AN fittings use. O-Ring bosses seal around the face of the female port with an O-ring. Sizes are the same between AN and ORB fittings, but AN fitting nomenclature is typically "xxAN" (6AN, 10AN, 12AN) where ORB nomenclature is simply a dash number, "-xx" (-6, -10, -12).

O-Ring boss adapters require a chamfer in the female port to provide a proper seat for the O-ring. All of these adapters include the O-ring. The AN920, AN921, and AN922-sytle angled adapters also include an aluminum sealing washer. Equivalent AN numbers are given for reference where applicable. These fittings conform to JIC and SAE specifications.
