These special self-sealing fittings let you remove and reinstall your Longacre Tire Pressure Relief Valves (Part No. 3336, sold separately) without losing any pressure. Simply install the low-profile adapter in a 5/8" hole in the wheel rim -- the factory valve stem hole is usually convenient. When you screw in a Longacre TiReLief valve, the adapter opens to let the valve do its job. Remove the valve and the adapter automatically closes to prevent air loss. Set of 4 adapters is enough for one set of rims.
These adapters are required if you want to change between different TiReLiefs to deal with changing track conditions. They also allow you to add other optional accessories (each sold separately) such as:
Longacre Tire Inflation Adapter (Part No. LA50220), which puts a standard tire valve in place of your TiReLief valve -- especially important if you use the factory valve stem hole for the adapter!
Longacre TiReLief Setting Tool (Part No. LA50290), which lets you adjust your TiReLief valves while they are off the wheel rim.
