These super-strength D-rings are rated at 12,000 pounds breaking strength (4000 lbs WLL),* far exceeding the rating of most tie downs. Weaker D-rings are a "weak link," negating the strength of the tie-down.
The beefy 1/2" diameter forged steel ring includes a retainer pressed from 1/4" thick steel plate. The surface mount is simple to install and is about 13/16" high when the ring is folded flat. Sold individually (one ring and one retainer). Each requires (2) 3/8" carriage bolts, locknuts, and washers (not included).

* WLL based on a 3 to 1 safety margin. Note that the actual strength also depends on the strength of the mounting hardware. Using high-quality hardware will allow the full rated capacity. Grade 5 should be considered the minimum acceptable strength to use.
